What do we do?
We are there to support all students so that they can achieve their goals, feel happy and safe in school and be the best learners that they can be.
How do we do it?
In a confidential setting, students receive support in understanding their feelings, attitudes, and behaviors, whether their concerns be academic, social or emotional.
We lead group counselling activities that bring together students experiencing commonly shared concerns in areas such as relationships, self-esteem, or organisational skills.
Through planned classroom and large group learning experiences, we lead activities targeting the personal, social, academic, and career development of all students.
All Grade 11 students are involved in a comprehensive college guidance program offering individual counselling opportunities and group information sessions.
Counsellors also coordinate various services and activities in the school. Examples of these activities can include peer helping programs and college information sessions.
We are always happy to speak to and support parents. This may include assisting parents in obtaining needed services for their children and helping them access community service. We believe that good school - home relationships are key to student success.
